Our Story Behind the Studio Name

Choosing a name for our Design and Research studio was no small task, and the challenge, to say the least, took us by surprise. We wanted a name that not only captured what we do but also represented what Circora aspires to be—a name that embodies the various disciplines we bring together and the connections we foster among clients, users, and our team. This unity and interconnectedness are at the heart of Circora’s vision. As we explored various possibilities across languages, themes, and styles, we found inspiration in an unexpected yet fitting concept: Circles.

Why Circles? They embody continuity, interconnectedness, and unity — all principles we embrace and that reflect how we work. Like circles, our design and research are iterative — cycles of discovery and refinement that fuel meaningful digital experiences, evolving and uplifting businesses, products, and brands over time. Design and research are not linear or monotone but fluid, dynamic, and collaborative by nature.

Each project we embark on brings together multiple perspectives. Whether it’s our internal research and design team or our clients and their users, everyone plays an integral role in shaping the outcome. Circora represents this convergence—a shared space where ideas meet, grow, and evolve. Collaboration isn’t something we add at the end of a project; it’s embedded from the very beginning.

Why is this crucial? We believe clients are not just our partners, but also co-creators in a process that brings value to all. Together, we shape impactful and meaningful solutions that help you reach your business goals and meet your users’ needs. Circora is a name that reflects both our goals and essence of what we aim to be. It serves as a reminder that great ideas are not isolated islands, but emerge from circles of collaboration, discussion, and trust.
